Role Description
The Sales Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Williston, ND. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing customer accounts in the oil and gas sector, with a focus on promoting Oil States Energy Services’ rental solutions and service offerings. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying new leads, conducting customer meetings and site visits, preparing quotes and proposals, and negotiating pricing and contract terms in alignment with company guidelines.
The Sales Specialist collaborates closely with operations, engineering, and wellsite personnel to ensure that customer needs are accurately understood and that the right equipment and services are recommended. Responsibilities also include monitoring ongoing jobs, resolving customer issues, tracking market trends and competitor activities, maintaining accurate CRM records, and providing regular sales forecasts and reports to management.
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to present technical solutions clearly and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated Customer Service capabilities, with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and long-term client satisfaction.
- Proven Sales experience in industrial, energy, or oilfield services environments, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience in Sales Management or territory management, including pipeline development, forecasting, and account planning.
- Ability to provide or coordinate Training for customers and internal teams on product offerings, equipment use, and best practices.
- Knowledge of oil and gas operations, particularly completions, production, and workover, is strongly preferred.
- Comfort working in field and wellsite environments, including occasional travel within the region as required.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and basic business software (e.g., MS Office or equivalent).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
