Job DescriptionThe City of Williston is seeking to hire a Diesel Mechanic to serve the Williston Fire Department. Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of all Fire Department vehicles, equipment, and ground support equipment. Work involves preventative maintenance, diagnostics, emergency repairs, and recordkeeping to ensure compliance with department requirements.

Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid ND Driver's License, or ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred, or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience.
- 1-3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or automotive mechanic.
- 1-3 years of experience of facilities maintenance experience.
- Knowledge and ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and ability to gather, analyze and distribute data required.
- Ability to perform the duties of this classification.
- Prior work experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle and/or heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and small engine systems.
- Individual must be willing and able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, & holidays.
