Medical Administrative Assistant (Float)
Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Medical Administrative Assistant (Float) to support daily operations within our medical office. This is a full‑time position that provides coverage and support across multiple administrative functions within the practice, including front desk coverage, telephone support, and assistance with special projects.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, customer‑service oriented, and comfortable adapting to changing priorities. Occasional travel between Evergreen Family Health office locations may be required to support office needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and assist patients with questions regarding office procedures.
  • Greet patients and visitors, check patients in and out, and provide excellent customer service at the front desk.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of all information.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Provide coverage for various office functions as needed.
  • Support the Office Manager with special projects, research, reporting, and other administrative assignments.
  • Coordinate and organize office materials and supplies.
  • Perform occasional travel between Evergreen Family Health office locations to deliver documents, pick up supplies, or provide administrative support as needed.
  • Follow all office policies and procedures while maintaining a professional work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous medical office, receptionist, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced customer service environment preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and computer systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel locally as needed for business purposes.

This position works in a fast‑paced medical office setting and requires frequent interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff. Success in this role requires flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude while supporting multiple areas of the practice.
