The Internal Service Advisor plays a key role in supporting the reconditioning and service process by coordinating communication between the service department, used vehicle operations, technicians, and parts department. This position is responsible for writing repair orders, monitoring repair progress, helping ensure timely vehicle completion, and supporting internal and after-sales service needs.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.
What You’ll Do:- Communicate with the Reconditioning Manager, Used Car Manager, technicians, and porters to identify vehicle repair and reconditioning needs
- Write and manage internal repair orders accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate with technicians and the parts department to help ensure the timely completion of repairs
- Communicate repair timelines, estimates, and status updates to management
- Monitor work in progress and follow up on delayed or additional repair needs
- Handle customer and manager inquiries regarding after-sales repair work and appointments
- Maintain strong communication and follow-up throughout the repair process
- Support department organization, workflow efficiency, and overall service operations
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- You are highly organized with strong communication and follow-up skills
- You work well under pressure while maintaining a positive, professional attitude
- You enjoy working with both people and processes in a fast-paced environment
- You take pride in providing excellent customer service and operational support
- You are dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
- Automotive service or dealership experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong customer service experience
- Prior automotive industry experience preferred but not required
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
- Authorized to work in the United States
