Berlin City Kia is actively hiring an Experienced Automotive Parts Counter Advisor to join our dealership team in Williston, Vermont. We are looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused parts professional who can accurately identify parts, support Service Technicians, and deliver prompt, dependable service to retail and wholesale customers.

Position Overview:

As an Experienced Parts Counter Advisor, you will provide knowledgeable and efficient parts support to retail customers, wholesale accounts, and dealership Service Technicians. You will identify and source the correct parts, provide accurate pricing and availability information, process orders, and communicate delivery timelines and associated charges.

Success in this role requires strong automotive parts knowledge, attention to detail, urgency, and the ability to build positive relationships across the dealership. Every interaction should give the customer or technician confidence that their parts' needs are being handled accurately and promptly.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist retail and wholesale customers in identifying and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories
  • Support Service Technicians by accurately identifying and sourcing parts needed for vehicle repairs
  • Use electronic parts catalogs and dealership systems to research parts, pricing, and availability
  • Provide accurate estimates, delivery timelines, and order-status updates
  • Recommend related parts, accessories, and available specials when appropriate
  • Pull and verify parts from inventory to ensure order accuracy
  • Place special orders for parts that are not currently in stock
  • Prepare orders for shipment, delivery, or customer pickup
  • Process retail and wholesale parts transactions accurately
  • Maintain clear documentation and follow up on open or backordered parts
  • Build strong relationships with customers, technicians, vendors, and other dealership departments
  • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and customer-focused parts department
  • Stay current on product updates, manufacturer information, and dealership procedures

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous automotive parts experience, preferably in a dealership environment
  • Working knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and repair terminology
  • Experience using electronic parts catalogs and dealership management systems
  • Strong customer service and consultative sales skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively with customers and Service Technicians
  • Excellent organization, accuracy, and follow-through
  • A strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • A dependable work ethic and consistent attendance
  • A positive, solutions-focused attitude
  • A desire to continue developing your automotive career

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous automotive parts counter experience
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment requirements
  • Authorization to work in the United States
