Non-Intensive Para educator (SpEd/Gen Ed, 0.5 FTE) Needed
Location: Williston Central School

Williston Central School (WCS) is seeking an energetic and caring Non‑Intensive Para educator (0.5 FTE) to join our school team. 0.25 FTE of this position will support general education teams and the other 0.25 FTE will support special education teams. We are looking for skilled individuals to provide vital support in the areas of multi‑layered curriculum, communication, and activities of daily living across all school settings.
This position is essential to our mission of fostering student growth and independence. The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for inclusive education and a positive contributor to our collaborative school community.
Primary Responsibilities- Providing direct support to students in the areas of curriculum overlap and multi‑layered instruction.
- Facilitating effective communication and behavioral support across various school environments.
- Assisting students with activities of daily living to ensure full access to their educational experience.
- Promoting child growth by fostering independence and self‑advocacy.
- Thriving within a teaming environment, working collaboratively with special education and classroom teachers.
- Maintaining a flexible and creative approach to problem‑solving to meet diverse student needs.
- Demonstrating a consistent willingness to learn and implement new instructional or behavioral strategies.
- A deep commitment to equitable and inclusive instructional practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong rapport with students.
- Demonstrated strength in working as a collaborative team member.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The physical ability to meet the requirements of the position, which may include lifting.
- An innovative spirit and a passion for supporting the success of all learners.
