SOH Wind Engineering is a company that specializes in wind engineering. We use wind tunnel testing, full-scale measurements, analytical models, and numerical simulations to help clients determine wind actions on all kinds of structures. Our goal is to help engineers build structures that are lighter, slenderer, and have lower damping by moving the boundaries and making engineering dreams possible.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer located in Williston, VT. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for equipment and wind tunnel model designs, wind tunnel operation, project management, and other mechanical engineering tasks. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with other engineers and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Design equipment and wind tunnel models for testing and validation.
• Operate wind tunnel facilities and support related testing activities.
• Manage projects, timelines, and budget adherence in collaboration with engineers and project managers.
• Perform mechanical engineering tasks as part of wind engineering projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Mechanical Engineering and machine design skills.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be trustworthy and able to function well in teams and independently.
• 3 years of professional experience in a mechanical/civil/structural engineering environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Be able to lift 75 lbs.

• Competent in Solid Works and CFD analysis.
• Fluent in MATLAB.
• Basic machining skills.
• Experience in wind engineering or wind tunnel testing.
