Job Description

You’ll conduct environmental and building science testing (mold, asbestos, lead, IAQ), operate sampling equipment, support clients and reporting, and assist with related EHS projects.

Perform mold, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, and other building science-related assignments.
Assist with client interactions, proposals, project coordination and planning, reporting, and invoicing.
Operate and maintain testing equipment and instruments including air sampling pumps, real-time air monitoring equipment, moisture meters, IR cameras, and calibrators.
Complete data sheets and chain of custody forms and prepare samples for shipment to laboratory.
Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agency representatives in a timely manner.
Read and understand project specifications, sampling methodologies, and building drawings.
Perform environmental, health and safety services.
Assist with industrial hygiene and other environmental projects.
Prepare reports for senior review.
Organizing and prioritizing a diverse workload; maintaining accurate records.
Abide by Atlas' health & safety policies and procedures.
Assist in other types of environmental testing and monitoring work. Cross training can be provided.
You’ll thrive here if you haveTwo- or Four-year college degree in environmental sciences or related field of study.
4-8 years field experience in environmental or hazardous materials testing.
Must be able to wear a respirator, safety harness, and other personal protective equipment as needed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license, ability to pass driver background check.
Project management/ project management assistance experience.
Must be MS Office proficient, possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
Current USEPA AHERA Building Inspector, Management Planner, Project Designer, Project Monitor and Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor, for Vermont/ New Hampshire/ New York state is preferred.
Current USEPA Lead Inspector and/or Lead Risk Assessor, for Vermont/ New Hampshire/ New York state is preferred.
Knowledge of Vermont Asbestos and Lead Regulations preferred.
Proficiency in Auto Cad desired.
Ability to work independently or in team setting.
Ability to travel locally up to 90% of the time.
