Measure Tech

Position Purpose

The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) works independently in a traveling field role in support of The Home Depot's Field Services Organization. The role is to provide quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds Company standards of excellence and customer expectations. The Technician performs in‑home measurement appointments, creates and maintains customer relationships, supports sales and product inquiry, coordinates installations, and ensures a positive customer experience through accurate measurements, calculations, and quote presentation.

The Technician primarily travels within a predefined geographic area, may also provide support at company locations, and uses company‑issued devices. The role focuses on customer service, measurement accuracy, timeliness, and sales productivity. The Technician reports directly to the Assistant Market Manager.

Location

This part‑time, field‑based role supports customers in Williston, VT and surrounding areas.

• 60% Appointment Measures – Complete daily routes for pre‑assigned measurement appointments as efficiently and accurately as possible.
• 4% Collaboration – Cooperate with Associates, Supervisors, and Managers to complete all other work activities as assigned.
• 1% Compliance – Follow all policies, procedures and work schedules.
• 35% Customer Service – Ask open‑ended questions to assess customer projects, describe product features and benefits, demonstrate product knowledge, answer questions, and identify opportunities for additional service programs.

• Reports to the Assistant Market Manager.

• Travel between locations is required.

• Must continuously stand or walk and regularly lift or carry material or equipment of moderate weight (8–20 pounds).

• Works in a comfortable indoor area; conditions may occasionally produce mild discomfort.
