OverviewThe Vermont Intelligence Center is hiring a Criminal Intelligence Analyst to play a vital role in advancing public safety and homeland security efforts across Vermont, focusing on international and domestic terrorism and critical infrastructure resiliency.
This position will:
- Conduct research and gather information from multiple sources.
- Provide case support to criminal investigations.
- Analyze and interpret intelligence related to crime and security concerns.
- Develop written intelligence products that inform decision-makers and partner agencies.
- Present intelligence briefings to law enforcement, elected officials, and other stakeholders.
This dynamic role supports collaboration across agencies to help ensure Vermont communities remain safe and resilient.
Minimum Qualifications- Associate’s degree or higher in criminal justice, data analysis, public administration, or a related field.
- OR
- Three (3) years or more of experience in law enforcement, records case management, public safety systems, or public safety research.
- Associate’s degree or higher in criminal justice, data analysis, public administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
- Proficiency with any analytical software.
- Must pass a department-conducted background check.
- Must obtain and maintain a federal secret clearance; employment may be terminated for failure to attain this clearance.
