Adecco Permanent Recruitment is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for an established manufacturing company in Williston, Vermont
. This position plays a key role in supporting employees throughout the employee lifecycle by overseeing payroll administration, employee benefits, HR compliance, and day‑to‑day human resources operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong payroll and benefits experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to provide outstanding employee support while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.

THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN WILLISTON VERMONT - only candidates local to the area will be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Manage benefit enrollments, life event changes, terminations, and HRIS updates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll and benefits questions.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment activities, employee communications, and vendor partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with FLSA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, wage and hour laws, and other applicable regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll, benefit invoices, and related reporting while partnering with Finance on payroll reporting and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities while maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Assist with leave administration including FMLA and disability programs.
  • Support employee relations, HR policy administration, compliance reporting, audits, and ongoing HR initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources and/or payroll experience.
  • Experience administering payroll and employee benefits programs.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, payroll practices, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Section 125 benefit administration.
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
  • Experience supporting HR audits, compliance initiatives, and process improvements.
