As an IT Business Analyst, you will serve as a critical bridge between the business and IT, ensuring technology solutions effectively support organizational goals and growth. You'll partner closely with business leaders and IT teams to evaluate systems, define requirements, and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and performance.
In addition, this role provides project and portfolio oversight for IT initiatives-helping ensure projects are well-defined, prioritized, and delivered on time and on budget.
Business & IT Partnership- Act as a liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and executive leadership
- Understand strategic business objectives and translate them into clear IT requirements
- Assess existing systems and recommend enhancements to better meet business needs
- Communicate technical options, limitations, costs, and risks in clear, practical terms
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions to resolve competing priorities and align on solutions
- Analyze complex business problems and identify effective IT solutions
- Translate conceptual user needs into detailed functional and implementation requirements
- Document current-state processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend improvements
- Develop business insights through data analysis and reporting to support decision-making
- Stay current on emerging technologies and evaluate their potential business impact
- Provide project management oversight for IT initiatives across the organization
- Manage the IT project portfolio, supporting prioritization, planning, and execution
- Partner with the organization's Project Management function to ensure alignment and delivery
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to keep projects organized, visible, and on track
- Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues when appropriate
- Enhance the quality, reliability, and effectiveness of IT products and services
- Support system implementations, enhancements, and change management efforts
- Ensure solutions scale effectively as the business grows
- Strong experience eliciting, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements
- Proven ability to partner effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Experience creating business cases, requirements documentation, and process flows
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related role
- Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) preferred but not required
