Spherion Vermont is seeking a Filler Pharmacy Technician responsible for packaging medication orders per directions on prescription label. Ensure product is accurate and neatly packaged. Assist in inventory control, including handling credits and restocking inventory.

Responsibilities
  • Work under direct supervision to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of medication orders, focusing on physical preparation of prescriptions and maintaining a functional pharmacy environment.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    Accurately count, seal, and label prescription cards; pull drugs and verify that the NDC (National Drug Code) matches the prescription labels.
  • Inventory Management:
    Return inventory to its proper location, assist in inventory control (including handling credits), and ensure stocking levels remain adequate.
  • Quality & Maintenance:
    Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of workstations; adhere to all quality assurance protocols and meet production goals set by supervisors.
  • Compliance:
    Complete all mandatory regulatory training programs and perform other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations.

Education

Associate degree required.

Experience

1–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Proficiency in using RX computer systems and a general understanding of medications and physician orders.
  • Regulatory Training:
    Successful completion of the following courses and exams—HIPAA Privacy & Security (Courses and CE Mastery Exams), Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (Course and CE Mastery Exam), Meth Guard (Course and CE Mastery Exam).
  • Compliance & Safety:
    Must pass a pre‑employment and/or random drug screening and demonstrate consistent safety habits.
