Overview
Full-time Mechanic & Heavy Equipment Operator – CSWD is seeking a skilled, hands-on Mechanic and Heavy Equipment Operator to join our compost program. In this dual role, you’ll spend part of your time leading mechanical diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs to ensure equipment runs safely. The remainder of your time will involve safely operating heavy equipment to maintain daily operations.
Responsibilities- Lead mechanical diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs to maintain equipment safety and reliability.
- Safely operate heavy equipment in daily operations and program activities.
- Collaborate with team to support compost program operations and maintenance needs.
- Two years of mechanical equipment repair experience.
- Two years of heavy equipment operation experience.
- Certifications relevant to equipment operation and maintenance (if applicable).
Pay range: $30-$35/hour (depending on experience and certifications) with excellent benefits, including a generous paid time off package.
