Courier​/Swing Driver​/Non-DOT

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to Fed Ex features of service.
• Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
• Provide related customer service functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma/G.E.D. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record.

Six (6) months courier experience preferred.

• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred.
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and respond to official inquiries and directions.

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work constantly alert and safely.
