About the RoleWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Operations Assistant to support our back‑office banking functions. This role is essential to ensuring our daily operations run smoothly—from processing transactions to supporting internal teams. In our small, community‑focused bank, you’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple areas, contribute meaningfully, and see the direct impact of your work.
What You’ll Do- Core Processing (Fiserv Premier)
- Perform daily processing and maintenance within the Fiserv Premier platform
- Process transactions, corrections, adjustments, and exception items
- Assist with end‑of‑day and month‑end processing and balancing
- Troubleshoot system issues and work with Fiserv support as needed
- Deposit & Payment Operations
- Process ACH transactions, returns, and exceptions
- Handle wire transfers, including verification and posting
- Process check returns, chargebacks, and adjustments
- Monitor NSF and overdraft activity
- Assist with debit card and ATM‑related issues
- Reconciliations & Balancing
- Perform daily balancing and general ledger reconciliations
- Complete correspondent bank reconciliations
- Research and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits
- Compliance & Risk
- Follow all regulatory requirements (BSA/AML, Reg CC, Reg E, OFAC)
- Assist with audits, CTRs, and SAR support
- Monitor and elevate suspicious activity
- Ensure proper documentation and record retention
- Support & Collaboration
- Serve as a resource for branch staff on operational questions
- Assist with customer transaction research and issue resolution
- Work closely with team members to support overall bank operations
This role’s typical hourly base pay range is between $21 and $25 per hour. Compensation may vary based on individual job‑related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience.

What We’re Looking For Education & Experience- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of banking experience (teller, operations, or bookkeeping)
- Experience with Fiserv Premier strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of banking operations (ACH, wires, deposits)
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a small‑team environment
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable learning and navigating core systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
