Temporary Crisis Behavioral Health Practitioner; BHP- Awake Overnights

Our crisis team makes connections that save lives! This temporary position provides mental health services and support to adults, adolescents, and children who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The position works overnights (awake position) in our residential crisis units in our Willmar office location. You will work with others within a multidisciplinary team of professionals and practitioners. Temporary full-time position (80 hours every two weeks) working 11:00 pm – 7:30 am overnight shifts weekdays only.

Shifts run from Sunday night at 11:00 pm through Thursday night at 11:00 pm ending Friday mornings at 7:30 am. No weekends! This position qualifies for shift differential (additional $3.50/hour).

• Provide assessment, intervention, and stabilization services.
• Provide a safe and supportive environment.
• Communicate with clients, families, and outside agencies.
• Complete phone screenings with persons who are in a crisis.
• Complete unit tasks including cleaning, data entry, and filing.

• Must meet DHS requirements for Behavioral Health Practitioner.
• Ability to pass a DHS background study.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Requires computer skills for electronic health record and data entry.
• Ability to work within a team.
