The Bilingual Paraprofessional provides academic support for limited English speaking students, assists second language students in reading and language development, and communicates with students, teachers, school personnel, and families in two different languages (English and Spanish).

• General knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques used in the teaching of other languages.
• Basic proficiency in routine aspects of a Bilingual Paraprofessional.
• Planning activities that relate to similar situations and involve choices among familiar alternatives.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Will be required to do a written and oral test.
• Experience of up to one year in a job-related field.
