Mill Operator | Day Shift

Farm Service Elevator has a full-time opportunity in the role of Mill Operator
. An affiliate of Life-Science Innovations, Farm Service Elevator processes 6.5 million bushels of corn to manufacture over 350,000 tons of poultry feed sold primarily to commercial farms and independent poultry growers throughout Minnesota.

• Responsible for making safe, quality feed including but not limited to:
  • Ensure feed is batched and pelleted correctly
  • Ensure medication is added to feed correctly
  • Ensure downstream ingredients are applied correctly
  • Ensure finished feed is stored correctly
  • Filling bins with correct bagged ingredients
• Ensure housekeeping and preventative maintenance is completed
• Responsible for completing logs according to SQF code
• Willing to work in adverse weather conditions and heights
• Provides a high level of customer service
• Ensures equipment is in safe operating condition and operates all machinery in compliance with FSE safety and OSHA guidelines

This is a Day shift position 7 AM - 5 PM Monday – Friday and will be in a Saturday rotation depending on needs.

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Special Boiler License preferred. Or ability to acquire within a timely manner.
• 1-2 years of work experience in an agricultural setting preferred.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and repairs
• Time management and organization skills
• Experience operating skid loader and fork lift
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to lift 60 pounds, occasional bending and lifting required; able to stand on feet for extended periods of time; climb ladders frequently
