Job Title
RN in the Float Pool
Job DescriptionThe RN in the Float Pool is the basic level of professional nursing practice. They identify and implement nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes and evaluates the results of these interventions for a given patient population. A nurse at this level may be required to assume leadership responsibility.
Nurses in our Float Pool serve patients on the following units:
- ER
- ICU (those that are trained)
- Ambulatory Care Department
- Med/Surg
- Women and Children's
- Inpatient Behavioral Health
Schedule
- 60 hours every 2 weeks
- Rotating day, evening and night shifts with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
- Every 3rd weekend (12-hour shifts)
- Rotating holidays
Pay and Benefits
- Pay based on experience and degree
- Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $43.24 per hour
- Bachelors in nursing starting at $43.61 per hour
- Masters in nursing starting at $45.79 per hour
- Full pay range: $43.24 - $65.47 per hour

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure in the State of Minnesota.
- Understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients of all ages in relation to the growth and development processes to include neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
