American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and NRP certification for a rotating shift assignment.

• Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Rotating 12-hour shifts, days ) and nights )
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend
• Floating expected to support patient safety sitter or nursing assistant roles without a patient assignment

• Active Minnesota RN license in hand or proof of Minnesota license application at time of consideration
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required; AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, antepartum care, and obstetrical triage
• Charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, LDRP, and Mother/Baby settings
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Must complete required lab work within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Must complete Livescan fingerprinting in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all candidates regardless of residency
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates within 25 miles of the facility are not accepted
