- Valid Minnesota Class D driver's license (or equivalent).
- Current First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
- Experience leading outdoor education or interpretive programming.
- Familiarity with Red Wing's park system and local ecology.
- Knowledge of Dakota history and the cultural significance of He Mni Can.
- Strong public speaking and group facilitation skills.

- Ability to hike steep and uneven terrain, including trails at He Mni Can (Barn Bluff).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand and engage with groups for extended periods.
Programming will primarily take place at He Mni Can (Barn Bluff), Memorial Park, and the Billings-Tomfohr Conservation Area. Work includes scheduled programming, trail roving, visitor engagement, and independent planning time.
