Hatcheries have a range of working conditions depending on the department. The majority of the positions have a room temperature of mid to high 70s. Fluff is a natural byproduct of hatching birds, which can be spread throughout the facility. Cleaning is very important to maintain a safe environment for the poults, so some washing with hot water may be required, which may raise humidity in certain cases.
Deviations of these conditions are dependent on department and the need for eggs or poults.
