Cafeteria Cashier (On-Call / Part-Time Opportunity)

Pay Range: $16.50-$20.00 /Hour

• Customer service focus to greet customers, answer questions, and address concerns professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of daily menu items and promotions.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process orders and payments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, stocked, and organized cafeteria throughout each shift.
• Assist with dishes, garbage removal, and other general cafeteria cleaning duties as needed.
• Collaborate with the Campus Crave team to ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Support Nova-Tech Engineering’s vision, strategies, and core values as an engaged team member.

As the first point of contact for cafeteria customers, the Cafeteria Cashier plays an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience. At Nova-Tech Engineering we take a strengths-based approach to our team members and company. This role will provide exceptional customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. The Cafeteria Cashier will assist with behind-the-scenes duties to keep the cafeteria and kitchen clean and inviting, while maintaining required standards.

• 1+ year of experience in a cashier, customer service, or related role preferred.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process transactions.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine cafeteria duties.
• Professional, ethical, and dependable, with sound judgment and follow-through.
• Demonstrates respect for others and appreciation for diverse experiences and perspectives.
