Packaged Gases Customer Service Representative
Manages sales campaigns with the intent of either scheduling appointments for sales to improve sales productivity or by gaining business via direct quote/follow up. Assesses customer satisfaction with MTG products and services via conducting surveys and provides insights for addressing customer concerns. Works closely with SBU Sales Leaders, Sales, Corporate Marketing and Customer Service.
Responsibilities- Place outbound calls with the prime purpose of scheduling appointments for sales with new or existing customers, notifying sales of committed appointment times, and then following up with a courtesy call to determine customer satisfaction and needs.
- Provide quotes or complete the sale, if the campaign is appropriate to directly gain new business.
- Probe and identify problematic situations or opportunities that could protect or yield new business for MTG and communicate the information to the appropriate function for follow up.
- Restock store merchandise as needed, arrange stock on shelves or racks in the sales area, keep merchandise in order, and mark or ticket merchandise.
- Manage requests for product, price and technical information.
- Assist in the warehouse with shipping & receiving, inventory stocking, cleaning, labeling, or other tasks as required.
- Maintain showroom cleanliness according to procedures set forth by management.
- Identify sources of leads and manage the pre‑qualification process in collaboration with sales and corporate marketing.
- Track the results of outbound campaign efforts.
- Backup inbound customer service as needed.
- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed and perform other projects and duties as assigned.
- High school graduate with a diploma and/or prior experience in outbound calling, inside sales, outside sales, or marketing (desired).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to establish and manage customer relationships.
- Ability to work independently.
