This is traveling position.
The PositionThe Pipe fitter/ welder position plans, directs, and coordinates pipe fitting activities, interprets drawings and piping layouts of designated commercial and/or agricultural construction projects to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Essential Duties- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools
- Weld pipe sections to fabricate systems
- Install valves, pumps, meters, supports, and related components.
- Conduct pressure tests for leaks
- Maintain, repair, or replace worn or damaged piping
- Ensure support of piping systems
- Follow OSHA and company safety standards.
- Work in occasional confined spaces or harsh environments
- Mechanical aptitude and math skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Welding proficiency (SMAW, GTAW, MIG)
- Stainless steel welding experience preferred
- Knowledge of piping codes
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
- Ability to operate Heavy equipment(telehandler, fork truck, arial lift, scissor lift, etc)
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of pipe fitting experience and at least 2 years or more of pipe welding experience preferred OR
- 5 or more years or more of pipe welding experience preferred

Position involves occasional sitting at a computer, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, operating power tools and welding equipment. Employee must be able to communicate effectively in a typical work environment with a standard level of jobsite noise.
Work requires travel to construction sites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme temperatures. In addition, employee must be able to move around prospective or current project sites. This includes climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, walking long distances, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 90 pounds.
