Dispatch Coordinator

Woody's Trucking, Inc. is seeking a motivated and highly organized Dispatch Coordinator to support our growing transportation operation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with customers and drivers, and helping keep freight moving efficiently.

• Coordinate customer delivery appointments and ensure on-time service.
• Communicate daily shipment updates with customers, drivers, and dispatch staff.
• Prepare and distribute load information to drivers.
• Monitor freight movement, trailer locations, and delivery status using transportation management and tracking systems.
• Assist drivers with route information, delivery instructions, and problem resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of detention, accessorial charges, storage, and other load-related information.
• Answer incoming calls and provide professional customer support.
• Support dispatch operations by tracking load progress and ensuring timely communication between customers and drivers.
• Maintain organized driver, load, and dispatch records.
• Assist with payroll preparation, invoicing, fuel reporting, and other administrative duties.
• Crosstrain in office operations to provide coverage and support during employee absences.
• Contribute to a professional, organized, and team-oriented work environment.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
• Transportation, logistics, dispatch, customer service, or office experience preferred.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
