Manufacturing Plant Accountant

As the Manufacturing Plant Accountant, you will be digging into real production data, catching variances before they become bigger problems, and sitting at the table with plant leadership every week. This role is built for a cost accountant who wants real ownership, not just a seat at a desk.

Our client is a global manufacturer of advanced engineering materials, with a network of 46 sites worldwide serving industries like aerospace, automotive, and semiconductors. Their Willoughby, Ohio plant is a newer addition to the company and is currently modernizing its systems and building out its plant level finance function. This is a fully onsite role.

You will have real ownership from day one as the only accountant on site, working shoulder to shoulder with plant leadership. You will join a built in network of Accountant peers across the company for support and knowledge sharing, plus a genuine path toward a Business Line Controller role down the line. Manufacturing Plant Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare and lead monthly reporting on cost performance, inventory, and manufacturing efficiency for the plant
• Investigate manufacturing variances and trace source transactions back to their financial impact
• Review and correct product costing to keep plant numbers accurate
• Partner with plant leadership, operations, and engineering as the site's go to finance resource
• Lead operational budgeting and capital project tracking, and support month end close and audits

Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift. Some flexibility on start time.

Compensation: $80,000 to $105,000 annually, based on experience

Manufacturing Plant Accountant Qualifications:

• 4+ years of progressive cost and general accounting experience in a manufacturing or process environment
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Strong Excel skills and hands on experience working within an ERP system
• Proven ability to independently investigate transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Strong communication skills and comfort partnering directly with plant leadership and operations
