PART-TIME FACULTY - BIOLOGY
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS: A variety of class days and times are available.
BIOL 2210 - Anatomy/Physiology 1: (6 contact hours: 3 lecture, 3 lab) 5.67 units of load.
This course introduces the organization of the human body in the context of feedback regulation and homeostasis. It assumes a general knowledge of cell structure and function, starting with tissues and progressing to organs and systems. It covers the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems, with both lecture and lab components.
BIOL 2220 - Anatomy/Physiology 2: (6 contact hours: 3 lecture, 3 lab) 5.67 units of load.
This course continues the study of the human body, examining endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, reproductive, and urinary systems, including regulatory mechanisms, nutrient absorption, metabolism, excretory functions, and acid-base balance. It also includes both lecture and lab components.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
1) Master’s degree in Biology;
2) College-level teaching experience in biological disciplines. Preferred:
1) Experience teaching at the community college level;
2) Broad-based biology training/teaching experience.
COMPENSATION: Part-time faculty members are paid $769 per unit of load.
