Assessment Coord; Ma​/Msw

Responsibilities

The Intake Assessor handles the Assessment and Referral activities at the facility, interfacing closely with the medical staff, department members, administration, treatment team, external case managers, and managed care organizations.

• Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field, or licensed RN.
• Experience: Minimum two (2) years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting; working knowledge of the mental health field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family treatment, treatment planning, communication with external review organizations, and working effectively with diverse populations.
• Work Environment: Clean, well‑lit environment; intake coordinators may sit or stand for long periods; high‑stress, active work environment with continuous low voices and office machine noises.
• Additional Requirements: Trained in non‑violent physical crisis intervention and CPR prior to independent assignment or released from orientation.
