CNC Operator

Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and setting up machines, reading work orders, and performing quality checks using mics, calipers, and comparators. This is a great opportunity for individuals with some machine operation experience, particularly with CNC equipment, to grow in a family-run, quality-focused company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read work orders and set up machines for production.
• Operate and maintain Mazak lathes and other CNC machinery.
• Perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Run two or three machines simultaneously, especially when not doing setups.
• Work with both milling and lathe machines.

Requirements:

• 6-12 months of machine operation experience (CNC experience preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Self-starter, independent, and able to maintain a clean workspace.
• Familiarity with setup processes on CNC equipment is a plus.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday, with overtime available on Fridays for first shift and Thursdays for third shift.
• Training provided on the first shift for third-shift workers.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay rate: $18-19 per hour, depending on experience.
• Medical coverage after 90 days (company covers half the policy).
• 401(k) with a 3% company match after one year.
• Contract-to-hire position with a paid half-hour lunch break.
