Maintenance Mechanic

Role and Responsibilities

• Hands‑on mechanical repair and maintenance services for machinery, equipment, and infrastructure across the plant.
• Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of a wide range of building equipment, production machinery, HVAC systems.
• Installation, repair, troubleshooting, predictive and preventative maintenance of pipe fitting, welding, millwright, carpentry, sheet metal, rigging, refractory brick, plumbing.
• Operates hydraulic and pneumatic systems; demonstrates basic electrical skills and safety protocols.
• Lathe turning, setup of milling machines, use of precision machine tools for crafting, modifying, renewing machine components to exact tolerances.
• Design, construction, maintenance, repair of mechanical systems including pumps, boilers, furnaces.
• Fabrication and assembly work, interpreting sketches, patterns, blueprints, conceptual designs.
• Maintain clean, organized work area; adhere to safety practices; minimal supervision; guidance and training to fellow employees as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a maintenance crafts‑person in manufacturing applications.
• Expertise in electrical, fabrication, assembly, repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pipe fitting, welding, millwright, carpentry, sheet metal, rigging, plumbing, machining.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental, maintenance and quality guidelines, standards, codes, and procedures.
• Effective reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours: shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime.
• Ability to operate in potentially hazardous environments with respiratory protection.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP PM (or similar CMMS).

Starting hourly wage of $40.00+.
