Metal Shop Team Lead

-We are a leading architectural metals fabricator specializing in high-precision components for high-end luxury residential projects.

We are seeking a Weekend shift supervisor. (B-Shift 3 12-hour shifts: Friday to Sunday 6am-6pm overtime available) To support the Production Plant Manager in managing a manufacturing package or work order from manufacturing receipt through delivery. This is a working lead direct labor position. Requires little or no supervision to delegate and execute assigned work to 5 –10 subordinates from start to completion of work orders.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Accomplishing department objectives by supervising staff and organizing work processes
• Implementing and enforcing systems, procedures, and policies
• Monitoring employee productivity by providing useful feedback and training
• Setting performance goals that comply with the organization’s plans and visions
• Ensuring compliance with legal and company policies and procedures
• Relaying information from upper management to employees and vice versa
• Handling customer issues that might escalate and require a supervisor for management

• Excellent communication skills for effective listening and positive body language for giving feedback to employees and clients
• Good conflict resolution abilities to improve organizational productivity
• Strong leadership skills to create a supportive and motivating work environment
• Good interpersonal skills to identify and establish a purposeful team culture
• Outstanding time and priority management to manage intense workloads and time constraints
• Ability to solve problems effectively by choosing suitable solutions

• 3+ years in Metal Shop experience (Required)
• 3+ years of supervisor experience (Required)
• Machinery, tools and blueprint reading experience
