Industrial Maintenance Technician Level 1
We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician Level 1 to join our team!
OverviewThe Industrial Maintenance Technician Level 1 is an entry-level to mid-level role responsible for performing basic preventive maintenance, mechanical repairs, and assisted electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on learning equipment, developing troubleshooting skills, and supporting senior technicians to maintain safe and reliable plant operations.
Available Shift7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (M –
F)
- Participates and helps coordinate all building maintenance for both production and office facilities.
- Responsible for ensuring minimal, unplanned downtime on production equipment.
- Must be able to determine the root cause of mechanical/electrical problems.
- When applicable, conducts repairs, renovations or upgrades with internal and/or external resources.
- Must be self-motivated and display an appreciation of quality workmanship.
- Executes, edits, and creates preventative maintenance requirements for all production machinery and facility.
- Keeps all tools, equipment or materials arranged, organized and stored appropriately.
- Use tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- May use a tow motor to move equipment, material, or perform maintenance duties with proper training and operators’ license.
- Must be safety orientated and perform all work-related activities in accordance with any OSHA or NEC requirements.
- Actively participates in productivity improvement initiatives.
- Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- 1–3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience OR technical/trade school training
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to read simple diagrams, instructions, and maintenance manuals
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Willingness to work overtime or off-shifts as required
