CNC Machinist Night Shift

CNC Machinist – Day or Night Shift | $18–$28/hr

Location: Willoughby, OH
Shift: Day Shift – Monday through Thursday 6 AM - 4:30 PM (occasional Friday overtime) Night Shift - Sunday through Thursday 8 AM - 6 PM

Hire Sync is hiring a CNC Machinist for a day-shift opportunity in Willoughby, OH. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with experience operating and programming CNC lathes and mills who enjoys working in a structured, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines based on blueprints and technical drawings
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials
• Load, verify, and run CNC programs prior to production
• Write or modify G-code programs as needed
• Make real-time machine adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

• 2–5 years of CNC machining experience (lathe and/or mill)
• Proficiency in CNC setup, operation, and basic programming
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Experience machining materials such as steel, aluminum, and plastics
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or GED; technical training is a plus
• Certifications are a plus
