Wax Department Lead

Consolidated Precision Products seeks a Wax Department Lead to oversee daily wax operations producing complex aerospace and industrial castings. This role supervises wax technicians, coordinates schedules, and ensures adherence to safety, quality, and production targets. The Lead will monitor yields and scrap, troubleshoot wax tooling and injection issues, and partner with engineering and quality to maintain robust processes. You will train and mentor team members, drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and help sustain CPP's high standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the wax department for aerospace and industrial castings
• Schedule, assign, and oversee work of wax technicians and operators
• Monitor process parameters, yields, scrap, and rework; drive corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
• Troubleshoot wax tooling, injection, and assembly issues with engineering
• Train and mentor team members on standard work and best practices
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production planning on priorities
• Support CI initiatives using lean tools to improve throughput and reduce waste
• Maintain accurate production records and report key performance metrics
• Assist with new product launches, trials, and process qualifications
