Industrial String light Assembly Technician

You clock in and review the production schedule for the day. After a quick touch-base with your lead, you head to your station to build rugged string light assemblies used on jobsites nationwide. You read CAD-driven work instructions, gather components, and begin staking and terminating electrical sockets to spec. With hand and power tools at the ready, you route cables, verify connections, and prepare harnesses for overmolding.

As units come off your bench, you inspect, test, and adjust to ensure every assembly meets tolerance and customer requirements. You log labor time and quantities in our ERP, note any equipment issues for your supervisor, and wrap the shift by cleaning and maintaining your work area.

Schedule and overtime

Primary shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Mon–Thu)
Other shift options: 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Mon–Thu) or 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Mon–Thu)
Overtime:
Four 10-hour schedule with overtime based on demand, often including Fridays, to meet customer and production needs.

What you will do Assemble string light components using hand tools, power tools, small presses, and fixtures.

Manipulate cables and conductors; stake and terminate electrical sockets precisely to specification.

Inspect, test, and fine-tune completed units to align with drawings, tolerances, and order requirements.

Operate all required assembly equipment safely and correctly.

Use the production schedule and coordinate with supervisors/leads to set priorities.

Follow engineering documentation, including CAD drawings and manufacturing procedures.

Record labor time and quantities in the ERP system.

Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors/leads.

Keep equipment, machinery, and your workstation clean each day.

Perform related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required).Six months of related skills/experience (preferred).Mechanical assembly aptitude and comfort with power tools.

You should be proficient in mechanical assembly and have a High School diploma/GED. You will regularly use power tools.
