This travel nursing opportunity places you in a fast-paced 22-bed Emergency Department with a Supertrack area for adult and pediatric patients at a Level 3 Trauma, Stroke, and Chest Pain Center. Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio (Compact license considerations may apply)
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing experience — ER RN or Emergency Department RN experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications may be required
- Comfortable using a variety of clinical and electronic monitoring equipment
- Successful completion of required onboarding health screenings, drug screens, and background checks
- Deliver safe, efficient, and age-specific nursing care to adult and pediatric patients using the nursing process
- Provide emergency triage, assessment, and treatment in a Level 3 Trauma Center and Stroke/Chest Pain Center
- Implement relationship-based nursing care and demonstrate technical skills that ensure safe practice and positive outcomes
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Operate and troubleshoot clinical equipment and adhere to all safety, infection control, and PHI/HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and support efficient patient throughput in the Supertrack area
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Hands-on experience in a busy Emergency Department and Level 3 Trauma Center — ideal for ER RNs and trauma nurses
- Work with both adult and pediatric emergency patients, enhancing clinical skills and emergency nursing experience
