• Position: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) / Telemetry RN – Travel Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nursing)
• Location: Willoughby, OH 44094 — Lake County, Northeast Ohio
• Unit: 30-bed Stepdown/Telemetry unit (mix of medical & surgical cardiac patients; private & semi-private rooms)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800 – $1890
• Openings: 1
• Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:4 / 1:5 / 1:6 (based on acuity & staffing)
• Floating: May float to inpatient areas at UH Lake West Medical Center and UH Tripoint Medical Center (SDU, MCU, med/surg, ED boarding)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (required for travel nursing in Ohio)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS required
• At least 1 year RN experience in acute care, telemetry, or stepdown setting preferred (telemetry RN experience highly desired)
• Strong cardiac monitoring skills, ECG interpretation, and arrhythmia recognition
• Ability to float to other inpatient units and adapt to variable clinical environments
• Completion of travel nurse onboarding health & professional requirements (MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, Fit Test, Physical/Health Statement, Influenza Vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Driver's License/State , background checks, skills checklist/competency exams)
• Excellent clinical assessment, communication, teamwork, and patient education skills

• Provide safe, efficient, age-appropriate nursing care to cardiac stepdown/telemetry patients using the nursing process
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, interpret ECGs, recognize dysrhythmias, and escalate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications, monitor hemodynamics, and manage telemetry alarms per unit protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, case management, and the care team to optimize patient care and throughput
• Accurately assess, document (electronic medical record), and communicate patient status and nursing interventions; escalate per protocol
• Float to designated inpatient areas as assigned to support unit/facility staffing needs
• Demonstrate leadership, support unit initiatives, and contribute to professional nursing practice in a travel nurse role
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required competencies for cardiac and travel nursing
