Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine provides behavioral health treatment services for adults, adolescents, and children in Willoughby, Ohio.
Responsibilities- Provide day‑to‑day medical care for the Partial Hospitalization Programs and Intensive Outpatient Programs (Adult Mental Health, Adult Dual Diagnosis, Adult Recovery, and Adolescent).
- Sign off on physician orders and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to implement the patient’s treatment plan.
- Complete medication reconciliation forms for all applicable PHP/IOP patients at admission and discharge.
- Conduct education groups using a variety of treatment modalities when necessary.
- Communicate with referral sources, outside community providers, and family members as needed.
- Participate in discharge planning and communicate with the provider for the next level of care.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s Degree strongly preferred. - Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mental health or substance abuse treatment preferred.
- Current unrestricted RN license in the State of Ohio to provide appropriate medical services.
- Trained in non‑violent physical crisis intervention and CPR prior to independent assignment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; diplomacy and discretion essential.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities; professional demeanor and appearance required.
Clean, well‑lit work setting where nurses can sit and/or stand for long periods. The environment can be high‑stress, active, with continuous low and high voices and office machine noise.
