Maintenance Mechanic, Off Shift
Provide mechanical repair and maintenance services for machinery, equipment, and infrastructure across the plant using multiple tools and techniques. Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities- Install, repair, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventive maintenance on building equipment, production machinery, and HVAC systems.
- Execute construction trades related to building maintenance, including pipe fitting (lined and unlined), welding, millwright work, carpentry, sheet metal, rigging, refractory brick, and plumbing.
- Operate and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and demonstrate basic electrical skills.
- Use precision machine tools such as lathe turning and milling machines to craft, modify, or renew machine components to exacting tolerances.
- Design, construct, maintain, and repair mechanical systems (pumps, boilers, furnaces) and fabricate and assemble components.
- Interpret and work from sketches, patterns, blueprints, and conceptual designs.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Manage supplies and inventories, including ordering materials and coordinating with vendors.
- Operate material handling equipment safely; maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Provide guidance and training to fellow employees when needed and stay receptive to additional training.
- Adhere to rigorous safety protocols and perform additional duties as required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a maintenance crafts‑person in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in electrical work, fabrication, assembly, repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pipe fitting, welding, millwright, carpentry, sheet metal, rigging, plumbing, and machining.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, quality guidelines, codes, and procedures.
- Strong reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Ability to function safely in hazardous environments, including use of respiratory protection.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a CMMS (e.g., SAP PM).

Starting hourly wage: $40.00+.
