Step into a hands-on role that keeps production moving

Bring your electrical and mechanical expertise to The Kennedy Group, an Inovar Packaging Group, LLC company. Your regular schedule will be 2 pm – 10am, with training occurring on the first shift. You’ll be the go-to problem solver on high-speed flexographic and digital printing assets, safeguarding uptime and product quality.

A day in the life

You arrive, review CMMS work orders, and prioritize with production. When a flexographic press flags a fault, you’re on it—troubleshooting AC/DC systems, motor drives/VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and control panels. You’ll align and calibrate equipment, interpret schematics and ladder logic, and lock out/tag out to ensure safe repairs. Between calls, you execute preventive maintenance, update PM logs, and fine-tune settings to hit performance and quality targets.

You’ll also keep facilities humming—electrical distribution, compressed air, HVAC, and lighting—while coordinating vendors and managing critical spares.

What you’ll tackle

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues on flexographic press equipment and related systems (AC/DC, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, control panels).Service mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components to restore performance and prevent failures.

Perform emergency and scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.

Set up, align, and calibrate production machinery to meet reliability and quality standards.

Read/interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and ladder logic.

Apply LOTO procedures on every maintenance task.

Administer the CMMS/PM software: maintain accurate task logs and schedules, and train teammates for adherence.

Leverage PM data to spot trends, recommend fixes, and drive failure reduction.

Support facility utilities: electrical distribution, compressed air, HVAC, lighting.

Maintain spare parts inventory; coordinate contractor/vendor work for quality and compliance.

Champion safety (OSHA, NFPA 70E), including arc-flash PPE and immediate reporting of hazards or SOP deviations.

Collaborate with production on priorities; support continuous improvement and energy efficiency projects; assist other shifts during critical downtime.

What you bring

Required3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience with strong electrical aptitude.

Proficiency in troubleshooting AC/DC systems, VFDs, PLCs, and flexographic press equipment.

Hands-on skill with electrical diagnostic gear and standard mechanical tools.

Experience using CMMS/PM software.

Ability to interpret schematics, ladder logic, and equipment diagrams.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong organizational habits and problem-solving capability.

Preferred Electrical or electromechanical certification/degree.

Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent background.
8+ years in industrial maintenance.
4+ years on flexographic presses (Mark Andy, Nilpeter, MPS).

Experience with Fiix, eMaint, or Maintenance Connection.

Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and related PPE.Work environment & physical requirements

High-speed production with heat, noise, inks, and chemicals.

Lift up to 50 lbs; work at heights and in confined spaces.

Availability for emergency maintenance, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
