Position: Building Secretary
Department: Upper Moreland High School
Reports to: Assigned Principal
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly) – Educational Support Professional Association
Schedule: Full Time, 8 hours/day, 12 Months
Starting Salary: TBD based on new ESPA Collective Bargaining Agreement

SUMMARY:
The role of the Building Secretary is to provide administrative support to the Principal and the overall assigned building.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

- Prepares budget, purchase orders, quotes, and contracts
- Accounts for faculty/staff attendance reports and working hours
- Accounts for building coverages (professional and support staff)
- Reports building-based data to the District Office
- Communicates and coordinates special events and student activities i.e. picture day
- Assists the security and safety surveillance (command center for drills and emergencies)
- Executive Assistant to the Principal
- Support administration in assignment and notification of class coverage
- Track and provide reports for staff attendance as required
- Support communication to staff and community
- Creation of a school calendar
- Accounts for student scholarship money (High School Only)
- Process W-9 requests for the business office
- Organizes student/staff parking assignments, issues hang tags (High School Only)
- Other building specific duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma
- Secretary experience preferred
- Keyboard proficiency and ability to use various office machines and equipment
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.
- Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment.
