CNC Mill Machinist

Location: Ivyland, PA (Onsite)

Shift: 2nd Shift Mon - Fri (3:30pm - 12am) – Direct Hire, Full time Role

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a precise and detail‑oriented individual to join our Machinist team. This role will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, programming, G‑coding, and operating machine tools with guidance to create products according to engineering specifications, ensuring high quality and efficiency in a manufacturing facility. A CNC Machinist works with a team to contribute to production goals and operates various machine tools to produce precision parts while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and run production on all machines while managing tool conditions
  • Program machines with minimal complexity and learn to program at higher complexity with assistance using Mazatrol and G/M codes
  • Follow and develop standard work for setup, inspection, and deburring
  • Adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment when needed
  • Meet or exceed production targets and quotas
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily and monthly targets
  • Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines (horizontal, vertical, turning)
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
  • Operate machines to manufacture parts following detailed blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards
  • Conduct inspections to verify accuracy and quality of finished products per ISO requirements
  • Identify and report defects or issues in the machinist process and provide necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure product quality
  • Monitor machine performance and adjust to maintain product quality and machine efficiency
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet specified tolerances
  • Perform routine maintenance on machine tools to ensure they operate effectively and safely
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose machine issues, making minor repairs or adjustments
  • Report any significant machine malfunctions or maintenance requirements to the supervisor
  • Document inspection results in SPC data collection workbook
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including job setup, run times, and material usage
  • Report any deviations from specifications or quality issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Document any issues, defects, or deviations from standard procedures
  • Complete production logs, work orders, and other required paperwork accurately
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years’ experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
Core Competencies
  • Experience using various hand, pneumatic, and power tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses
  • Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Ability to read and understand bill of materials, work instructions, blueprints, or technical drawings
  • Strong problem‑solving, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated time‑management skills, strategic thinking, and adaptability
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 35 lbs individually and 70 lbs in a team lift
  • PSI limit not greater than 30,000
Preferences
  • 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing or other fast‑paced operations
  • General computer knowledge (e.g., log‑on credentials, JD Edwards, Microsoft Outlook)
  • Program machines with high complexity independently using Mazatrol and G/M codes
Travel & Work Arrangements / Requirements

This position will be based at our site in Ivyland, PA, with no travel required.
