Diversified mechanical or electro‑mechanical assembly or sub‑assembly of units that are moderately complex, requiring adjusting, fitting and aligning to ordinary tolerances. Requires print reading and basic math skills as well as the ability to use common hand tools and operate assembly machines. Typically requires a high school education and up to two years of related training or experience. Works from drawings or specifications.

May inspect and test complete unit. May rotate stations in a work cell. Work is typically performed at a bench and may include walking or standing some of the time. Work may be in a clean room environment.
