Overview
Garden Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and clinically strong RN Unit Manager to oversee daily operations of a nursing unit within a skilled nursing facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and clinical oversight with a strong focus on wound management and outcomes. The RN Unit Manager will support interdisciplinary collaboration, lead care planning, and drive clinical excellence while promoting a resident-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff on the assigned unit, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Coordinate and monitor delivery of nursing care in accordance with physician orders and care plans
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Provide hands-on wound care as needed, including dressing changes and monitoring healing progress
- Monitor residents for infection, deterioration, or complications and communicate changes promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapy, social services, and interdisciplinary teams
- Lead care plan meetings and contribute to resident care planning
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases and wound management
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident dignity
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
- Previous experience in a Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or leadership role in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of wound care assessment, treatment planning, and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents as needed
- Exposure to clinical environments, infectious materials, and patient care settings consistent with skilled nursing operations
