MISSION STATEMENT:

Students of the Upper Moreland Township School District will be provided with the foundation and skills necessary to excel in the exciting, complex, and interdependent world in which they live.
Responsible for maintaining records, dispatch, communications and reporting in support of the school district Transportation Department in accordance with Federal and State laws in addition to local school district policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnswer all incoming calls and route those calls requiring the attention of other district personnel. Troubleshoot parental complaints and act as a liaison between district and out-of-district schools, parents, students and employees. Distribute student disciplinary reports to the appropriate personnel. Scan reports to student files once completed. Maintain all files relating to accidents, complaints and equipment maintenance. Basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Google Workspace (Sheets, Forms, Drive, Docs, Slides, etc.)
Experience working with eSchool, Transfinder, Synovia and Frontline software is a plus. Prepares and distributes all specialized transportation request forms as needed. Prepare office supply orders and maintain supply inventory. Occasionally assist special needs students while riding in a school vehicle. Knowledge of the public and non-public school locations as well as Upper Moreland Township. Prepares weekly schedule of assignments for activities, late buses and co-curricular field trips and distribute upon management approval.
Maintain radio communication between the transportation office and fleet vehicles. Coordinate all school calendar schedules of early dismissals, closures, late arrivals, etc. and distribute to drivers on a monthly basis. Process new registrations, withdrawals, changes of address, custody schedules for alternating transportation and specialized transportation requests. Track special needs student ridership for Access reporting. Participate in training sessions as needed to stay current with transportation issues that impact that district.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager. Maintain regular attendance.
