This is a position with WM Technologies, LLC and affiliate of SPX Enterprises, LLC, which manufactures and sells Weil-McLain® branded products. Weil-McLain® is a leading North American brand of hydronic comfort heating systems for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings since 1881.

Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources will serve as a key strategic partner to business leadership while also maintaining a strong operational presence across the organization. This role supports a ~$400M business unit with approximately 700 employees across four manufacturing facilities, with headquarters based in Burr Ridge, IL, reporting directly to the General Manager of the Business Unit with matrix to VP, Human Resources.

The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. This role requires experience in a unionized environment, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead HR initiatives that drive performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master's preferred) 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience in union/labor relations required Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically ("roll up sleeves" mindset) Strong leadership and team development experience Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations required Prior experience leading HR efforts during mergers, acquisitions, or integration activities strongly preferred Willingness to travel up to 40% required

Salary

Range

As required by law in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is $149,500 - $205,000 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate's experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process.

At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
