Your role at Clorox:

Glad is seeking an Extrusion Senior Technician to support the development of next-generation trash and waste management solutions. This role is ideal for a creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about operating, maintaining, trouble shooting and optimizing extrusion equipment. This role requires hands‑on mechanical experience, strong tool proficiency, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues on pilot plant and industrial-scale machinery.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, committed to safety and thrives in a collaborative R&D environment.

Hourly compensation ranges: $25.34- $44.09, depending on work experience, skills and aptitude. Located in Willow brook, IL and the candidate is required to be onsite, 5 days a week. Opportunity for overtime, as business need supports.

In this role, you will:

Extrusion Senior Technician

* Start and operate extrusion equipment: preheat extruder, load hoppers, pull bubble, operate winder.

* Equipment management: operate, monitor, adjust and troubleshoot equipment along the production line.

* Material handling: unload materials, load hoppers, transfer rolls.

* Inventory Management:
Order, store and retrieve resins, rolls and supplies.

* Quality Control and Documentation: Inspect and test materials and films, document process settings.

* Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment.

* Repairs:
Conduct equipment repairs as needed.

* Collaboration:

  Work with scientists to review run plans and provide feedback

* Note:

Key Responsibilities may include other related duties as assigned.

What we look for:

Years and Type of

Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in extrusion, prefer blown films.

* Or 4+ years of experience in extrusion plus an associates or bachelor's associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field.

* Industrial or large equipment experience is a must.

Other Requirements:

* On-site role (typically 5 days per week on-site)

* Located in Willowbrook, IL

Skills and Abilities:

Education Level/Degree: (Please clarify if equivalent experience is acceptable with no degree)

4-year degree with 2+ years relevant experience or 5+ years relevant experience

* Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

* Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenance.

* Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

* Operations Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

* Active Listening skills.

* Safety - Safety focus. Demonstrated ability to identify, communicate, and address concerns.

* Ability to lift 50 lbs.

* Ability  to climb stairs and occasionally carry 20 lbs. bucket upstairs.

* Adaptability - Ability to think creatively and adaptively in fast-changing environments.

* Communication - Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with diverse teams.

* Computer skills - Ability to use Microsoft programs.
