Shift schedule:

  • Monday 6:15a-12:30p
  • Tuesday 8:30a-5:30p
  • Wednesday 8:00a-2:00p
  • Thursday 8:30a-5:30p
  • Friday 8:30a-5:30p
Summary

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for the patient check‑in process, updating computer patient personal information and insurance information, handling a multi‑line phone system, medical records filing and maintenance, and collection of co‑pays and cash payments.

Responsibilities Essential Functions
  • Performs opening and closing clinic duties
  • Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance
  • Scans documents into electronic health record

    Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day
  • Checks schedules for added, canceled and no‑show appointments throughout the day
  • Schedules follow‑up appointments as needed
  • Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record
  • Orders clinic office supplies
  • Sells and tracks cosmetic products
  • Distributes mail
  • Prepares for next day scheduled appointments
Qualifications Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • 1‑2 years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer functions.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred.
  • Must possess attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
  • Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

For this position, the base pay range is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education, certification, or training.
